JaraPot is a way to gift money to people you know: you fund a bag, share a link and PIN, and recipients verify themselves to receive it. Entry is always free for recipients. Givers pay a service fee, shown before you pay. No betting, no staking, no prizes from us.
You must be 18 or older and in Nigeria. Creators need a Nigerian bank account in their own name (for refunds). Recipients need a phone number and a bank account in their own name. One account per person; gaming entries with multiple phones or accounts gets winnings voided.
Recipients never pay anything. When you fund a bag, a service fee is added on top and shown before you pay:
The fee covers payment processing and running jarapot. Amounts must be whole naira and divide evenly across recipients.
First come: the first verified claims win until slots run out. Quiz: only correct answers can claim; a correct answer does not reserve a slot. Raffle: verified recipients take one ticket each; winners are drawn by a verifiable shuffle (the draw commitment is published when the bag is created and the secret revealed at draw — anyone can replay it). Draws happen when the giver draws or automatically at expiry.
Bags expire 1 hour to 7 days after creation, as set by the giver. Unclaimed slots are refunded to the giver's refund bank details if provided; refunds are queued immediately at expiry and paid through our provider. Without refund details on file, contact support to arrange it. Paid-out slots are never refunded.
No fraud, no fake identities, no chargeback abuse, no using jarapot for anything illegal. We log security events, throttle abuse, and may pause or void bags involved in fraud.
JaraPot is provided as-is. We are not liable for bank or provider downtime, delayed transfers, or disputes between givers and recipients. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us. This is a pilot: limits may change and we will state them in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lagos State, Nigeria. Questions or refund issues: support@jarapot.ng.
